Relax at Rotoiti

1.00pm Racecourses are set-up for anyone to practice races or just enjoy some relaxed boating.

2.30pm Rotoiti Billy Tea History Tour. A group tour for any boats to Lake head for afternoon tea (traditional billy tea returning with asightseeing history tour along the lakeshore).

5.30pm on Informal BBQTea (BYO) at the lake front (BBQs provided - bring your own food and drink)

Powerboats are defined as motor craft fasterthan 15mph

Saturday 1st March 2008 - Day 1

Display on land (8.00am - 1.00pm) All boats on display by 9.30am
  • 11.30am - Briefing for all participants (registration Tent)
  • 11.40am - Briefing for all power boat owners
  • 11.45am - Launch power boats and gather on beach near bus

Power boat activities (12.00 noon)
  1. Minis - Small outboards up to 40hp.
  2. Grunter’s - Runabouts over40hp, and up to 18’
  3. Jetsons - Jet boats
  4. Monsters - Large motorboats/outboard boats over 18’
Power Boat schedule will be repeated as time allows.

Launch all other boats (1.00pm)

Drive Past (2.00pm)- gather west of West Jetty for 'All Boats Drive Past'. (follow the Piper from West toEast jetty)

Race Schedule (starts from 2.15pm approx.)

8. Sailing (may change depending on wind) Course 4
9. Canoe race Course 1
10. Small outboards under 10hp Course 3
11. Womens Rowing Course 2
12. Family Rowing Course 2
13. Sculling Start to West Jetty
14. Swimming Beach-start-buoy-beach

Prizes will be awarded after the races at approx 4.00pm

Open Lake after last race – 5 knots within 200m of shore applies

Poker Run around the jetties after prize giving
